  1. Hi Raja

As far as I know, the Deutschland 49 euro ticket is only for regional trains within Germany.

You can order the ticket online but as per the official details, the ticket should be ordered by the 10th of the month to get a valid ticket that starts from the 1st of next month. So, I am not sure if this would be of great benefit or convenience for tourists coming to Germany for a short duration.

Please check the official website for further details.

  2. Hi Anooop
How I book this ticket from India? I am supposed to travel to Germany in May’23. Also, will this ticket take me to Nuremberg from Munich? Thanks!

  3. Hi Abu

Afaik, this ticket can be booked only as a subscription. Also, the subscription is effective the first of next month if you book it before the 10th of the month. e.g. if you need the ticket from June 1st, you should book it before the 10th of May.

You can check the link in the blog post to read more about different ways of booking the ticket.
Once you book this ticket you can travel across Germany. So, Nuremberg to Munich is covered under this ticket.

  4. Hi I am tourist from Italy and planning to stay in germany for more then 2 months. How I can buy ticket 49euros when I don’t have german bank account . How a tourist can buy this ticket. Because it shows tourist can buy but how they can buy they didn’t mention .

  5. Hi Shah

    That’s a good question.
The ticket can be purchased only on a subscription basis. So, you will have to provide your bank details. i.e. EU IBAN and authorize them to do a direct debit from your bank account every month.

So, if your bank provides you with an IBAN number, you can easily subscribe.
